About us
Department of Computer Science was established in the year 1999. Annual intake of students for B.Sc.(Computer Science ) is with 32 seats. In the year 2005 students strength was increased to 35. In the year 2007 II shift B.Sc.(Computer Science ) was introduced with the intake of 35 students. In current year (2018) M.Sc. Computer Science is introduced with the intake of 20 students
The department has competent and committed faculty which encourages students’ involvement in various co-curricular activities along with their academics. Computer Science students consistently bagged ranks in the Bharathiar University Examination with First class. A large number of students from our department get placed every year in a good reputed companies .
The Department with current faculty strength of eight Guest Lecturers for First shift and second shift sufficiently caters to its requisite teaching requirements. The department has good Computer Science Laboratory with high End Computer systems and with high Speed Internet and Wifi connectivity.
Computer science Department also conducting seminars and hands on training for aspiring students in the area of app development and mobile computing. Skill based training programme has been conducted to improve the performance of the students towards aptitude, personality development and communication skills.
